The Dead City

The Coronavirus has forced us into a nearly global lockdown period, making it impossible to visit our loved ones. It gave me a lot of time to think and practice some needed introspection.
With all the shops closed and no one going out, making cities feel like ghost towns, nature has reemerged in places it has long been driven out of, reclaiming some of its territories. Animals usually found up in the mountains have reappeared, roaming the empty streets of deserted cities.

This specific period of life in Switzerland allows me to experiment by researching colors, shapes and movement in everyday life. Such an endeavor requires dealing with the passage of time, and the intricacies of visual storytelling. The subjects of my work are found in my daily life, watching the scenery from the inside of my home.
